Windows Vista offers a plethora of parental controls, some of which are unique to this OS. You can access this feature by logging into the administrator's account and doing the following :
1. Click Start>Control Panel
2. Click User Accounts and Family Safety
3. Click Parental Controls
Select the user for whom you'd like to apply parental controls. On this screen you have full control over how your child use the PC. "Windows Vista Web Filter" allows you to limit your child 's Web access only to sites that you approve, "Time Limits" allows PC Access during certain time periods, "Logs" shows the child's online footprints, "Allow and Block Specific Programs" enables you to control application use. it's the "Games" security section, however, that really makes Vista stand out from OS X - you can determine which , if any, games can be run on the PC, based on title or ESRB rating
